KLM launch new flight connections from Glasgow to Freetown and Monrovia

Scottish travellers have received a further boost as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launch new flight connections between Glasgow Airport and Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The inaugural flights departed from Amsterdam on 26 March 2017 with flights to Freetown and Monrovia now operating every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Passengers connecting in Amsterdam with KLM benefit from checking-in at Glasgow Airport with their bags being checked through to their final destination and when checking-in at Glasgow, passengers will receive boarding passes for their flight to Amsterdam and those for the onward connecting flight to Freetown or Monrovia, giving passengers a seamless and hassle-free connection.
Freetown is the capital of Sierra Leone in western Africa. The city features a harbour on the Atlantic Ocean which is a major source of the country’s economic development. Fish packing, rice, diamond polishing, cigarette production, and oil refining are all important industries there. What is more, Freetown possesses a unique and rich history, and a number of interesting sights.
Not only is Monrovia the capital of Liberia, it is also the country’s largest city. It is the location of the most important harbour and is the country’s administrative, financial, and commercial centre.
