Air France celebrate one year of flying between Glasgow Airport and Paris

Air France has celebrated its first anniversary of flying between Glasgow Airport and Paris.

The inaugural flight departed from Glasgow Airport on 30 March 2016 with flights operating daily to the French capital from where passengers can connect seamlessly onward to over 150 destinations including Abidjan, Havana, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York, Nice, Rio de Janeiro and Shanghai.

The new Air France route between Glasgow and Paris is proving popular with business and leisure travellers with over 40,000 passengers using the service within its first year and the route has provided a significant boost to the Scottish economy with thousands of French tourists using the service to visit Scotland’s largest city and other major tourist draws in Western Scotland including Argyll & Bute, Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park and many of the country’s top whisky distilleries and golf courses.

The new service is proving equality as popular with Scottish based passengers looking to visit Europe’s most romantic city as well as those looking to fly onward to other worldwide destinations via the airlines Charles de Gaulle hub.

Passengers connecting in Paris with Air France benefit from checking-in at Glasgow Airport with their bags being checked through to their final destination and when checking-in at Glasgow, passengers will receive boarding passes for their flight to Paris and those for the onward connecting flight, giving passengers a seamless and hassle-free connection.
